In the remote Mezen River region of northern Russia, spent rocket stages launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome have been falling to earth for decades. Built around footage shot in the 2000s, the film follows Chechen, the leader of a scrap metal recovery team, who spends months navigating the northern forests and marshes in search of the fallen rockets, driven by the obsession of an explorer.
