A cult classic of Soviet cinema, the film will be the opening film of the second Alania International Festival of Authentic Cinema.

Coinciding with the film festival, an exhibition based on the archive of Ossetian actor Vladimir (Lado) Bestayev—who played Zaur—and his daughter, Tatyana, a theater and film actress, will open on the second floor of the Cinematograph Pathé cultural center.

The exhibition will tell the story of the film's creation in the context of the success of early Soviet cinema. It will also explore the role of this and other films starring Bestayev ("Law of the Mountains" and "Zelimkhan") in the development of the Soviet Western and "Eastern Cinema" genres. It will also explore Tatyana's archive, which embodies the daughter's deep emotional attachment to her father. The exhibition will feature contemporary artists from North Ossetia, whose works will be dedicated to the creative interpretation of materials kindly provided by the family's heirs.

In the second part of the exhibition, Vladimir and Alina Akoeff will present their initiative to create a Museum of Photography and Cinema in North Ossetia. Through the collection's exhibits and the pair's professional filmmaking experience, visitors will learn about the history of the North Caucasus Film Studio and Ossetian and North Caucasian cinema.
