High in the mountains of North Ossetia, at a remote rehabilitation centre, sobriety is measured one day at a time. Worn down by the relentless cycle of addiction, the residents reflect on the lives they have left behind while trying to hold on to hope for a better future—knowing that a single mistake could send them back to where they started.
